AEOLIAN ISLANDS

The Aeolian Islands are the unique example of an ongoing volcanic phenomenon. Lipari island

Lipari is the island that in ancient times gave its name to all the Aeolian Islands, once known as the Lipari Islands. Thanks to its crystalline sea and its natural historical beauties, it is the ideal place to spend a holiday that combines the relaxation of the sea with the charm of history.

The Aeolian Regional Archaeological Museum, housed in the locals of the Lipari Castle, is among the most important in Europe: inside are preserved ancient finds dating back to prehistoric times. Bay of Canneto

The seaside of Canneto, is just 20 meters from the B&B, it has shops,supermarkets, bars, restaurants, pharmacy, bank, post office and playground.

For the guests not equipped with their own transport it is possible to rent vehicles to move freely throughout the island. From the small harbour of Canneto, boat excursions leave for the other islands.

The ex-Pumice Mine

The quarrying activities have been concluded for some years, and today the pumice mine has become a unique place in Lipari, where nature and post-industrial scenarios meet in a peculiar and suggestive union.

The ex-pumice mine can be reached and admired thanks to the excursions by sea, or along the panoramic path that goes from the mountain to the sea, giving you the opportunity to enjoy at the same time a very suggestive view.
